About
Chartered Accountant · Manager – Finance & Statutory Compliance · Bengaluru, India

My journey
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant after a long road — eight years of exams, articleship and stubbornness. Since then I have worked across audit, group finance leadership and now manufacturing finance in Bengaluru, handling everything from GST litigation and TDS compliance to SAP-driven MIS and treasury.
Along the way I noticed something: the professionals I admired most were not the ones who knew the most sections by heart. They were the ones who could explain — who could take a dense circular, a messy trial balance or a new technology and make it legible. This site is my attempt to become one of them.
My philosophy
Writing is the tax I happily pay on my learning. If I cannot explain it simply, I have not understood it yet.
I write to learn in public. Every article here starts as a question from my own work — a notice I had to answer, a reconciliation that would not tie, an AI tool I wanted to trust before using. I research it properly, apply it, and only then write it up. Nothing here is sponsored, nothing is for sale, and I correct my mistakes openly.
Why I started writing
Finance knowledge in India lives in silos — dense bare acts, paywalled commentary, and WhatsApp forwards of uneven quality. I wanted a middle layer: rigorous enough that a fellow CA can rely on it, plain enough that a business owner can act on it. Writing also sharpens my own thinking; publishing raises the bar on my research; and over the years this becomes a searchable archive of everything I have learned.
What I'm interested in
Direct and indirect taxation, manufacturing finance, corporate laws, SAP, and — increasingly — how artificial intelligence and automation change the day-to-day craft of a finance professional. I build small automations for my own workflows and write honestly about what works and what doesn't.
Career timeline

Enrolled with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Eight years of exams, articleship and persistence — the qualification that shaped how I think about evidence, materiality and judgement.
2018 – 2021
Articleship, GSMK and Associates, Bengaluru
Statutory, internal, tax and stock audits across manufacturing, trading and services. GST, VAT and income-tax filings, refunds, assessments and ROC work. Best Article Award, 2018.
2022 – 2025

Led finance, tax, treasury, legal and HR for a diversified business group — tax strategies that saved over ₹70 lakh in a year, GST refunds worth crores, forex hedging, NCLT and IBC matters, and a 45-member team.
